Our wilderness resort property is rich in history and unique architecture. The main lodge is the center of the property features our oceanview dining room. and has places to relax and connect.

Kayaking
End your day with a calm evening paddle on the quiet waters surrounding Malcolm Island. As the light fades, the soft colours of the sunset reflect off the water, creating a peaceful setting to explore the coastline.
The gentle pace of this paddle is ideal for spotting wildlife—seals often surface nearby, and you might catch sight of a bald eagle or, with a bit of luck, a passing whale. The stillness of the evening makes it a great time to take in the natural surroundings without distraction.
No matter your experience level, the calm waters offer an easy and enjoyable outing for everyone. Evening kayaking is a low-key way to wind down, take in the view, and enjoy the simplicity of being out on the water.
Stand-Up Paddle-boarding (SUP)
For a unique perspective on the water, try stand-up paddle-boarding. Glide across calm channels while enjoying the serenity of the ocean. This activity is ideal for those looking for a mix of physical activity and relaxation.
Horseshoes
Unwind with a fun and social game of horseshoes. This classic outdoor activity is great for groups and fosters camaraderie and friendly competition. Set in a picturesque outdoor setting, it’s perfect for leisurely evenings.
Archery
Channel your inner archer and test your aim with our archery experience. With professional equipment and instruction, this activity is both fun and challenging. Learn skills and gain an appreciation for the art and discipline of archery in a safe, supportive environment.

That’s a Wrap ~ 2025 Lodge Season
Today we set out on our final journey of our inaugural season; a day filled with reflection, gratitude, and quiet joy. Each trip is more than a tour; it is a chance to witness the living heartbeat of our homelands; whales breaking the surface, grizzlies at the river, eagles soaring above the rainforest. To share these moments is a gift, and to end the season feels both bittersweet and humbling.
This year carried a new depth through our partnership with Sointula Lodge; together we created an experience where guests could not only see our territory but feel it. Out on the water, awe and wonder; back at the lodge, comfort and warmth. The rooms offered rest, the meals became memories, and the stories shared around the table carried the spirit of connection. The feedback we received was heartfelt, with guests telling us they felt seen, welcomed, and cared for; to us, that is the greatest measure of success.
We will carry with us the moments of laughter, the tears of joy, the quiet silences in the presence of wildlife, and the deep pride of sharing who we are as Musg̱a̱makw Dzawada̱`enux̱w and Kwakwa̱ka̱’wakw people.
To our guests, our partners, and our crew; gilakas’la, thank you. You are now part of our story, and it is your support that allows us to continue walking with respect and responsibility for this land and these waters. This is Reconciliation in motion.
